Isn't it ironic how the more we learn, the more we realize we don't know? This experience has been not far from me the past months.
I remember a college professor instructing our class to draw a pie graph with 3 sections. One section was for information we knew we knew. The second section was for information we knew we didn't know. The third section was for information we knew we didn't know.
The purpose was to visually demonstrate our perspective on how much we think we do and don't know...and maybe reveal a bit of our pride.
Since doing that exercise, it's guaranteed that my 2nd and 3rd sections have grown...perhaps the 3rd most obvious.
But even though it may be humbling to realize how little we know, let that not take away our hunger to learn.
